Folks piled in by the hundreds for the first of many films during the Cleveland International Film Festival’s 43rd celebration.

It all kicked off Wednesday night with the film The Etruscan Smile.

“It brings in movies from all over the world,” said Marc Dann.

Dann and his family have been coming to the film festival for nearly 10 years.

“Every year we find movies to watch that we never even imagined in languages that we don’t know,” said Dann.

Once again, festival organizers will focus on Ohio.

“Featuring films made by Ohioans or directed by former Ohioans or take place in Ohio itself,” said Bill Guentzler of the Cleveland International Film Festival.
