Jussie Smollett is free from 16 count felonies that were applied to him by Chicago Police after an investigation that alleged that Smollett filed a false police report after the actor claimed that he was physically and verbally attacked on a Chicago street.

After the Chicago prosecutors office decided to drop the charges and seal the case an elated Jussie Smollett said he was just eager to get back to work. A job that earned the FOX Empire actor a nomination for a NAACP Image Award this year at a ceremony being held and aired LIVE Saturday, March 30th, on TV One hosted by Blackish star Anthony Anderson.

The question that is on everyone’s mind is should Jussie Smollett win or even attend? And celebrities are speaking out.

Comedian/actor, Anthony Anderson,this years NAACP Awards show host say’s

“I hope he wins,” “I’m happy for him that the system worked for him in his favor because the system isn’t always fair, especially for people of color. So I’m glad it worked out for him.”

However some celebrities are not as pumped about Jussie Smollett’s participation, actress Naturi Naughton who plays Tasha St. Clair of the hit series on STARZ ‘POWER’ say’s … he should probably bow out of the award show this time around.
