Georgia running back Washaun Ealey, who led the Bulldogs in rushing last season, was arrested early Friday morning on misdemeanor charges of hit and run and driving with a suspended license.

University of Georgia police chief Jimmy Williamson told ESPN.com that Ealey was arrested at 3:19 a.m. ET after hitting a parked car on a parking deck while driving his roommate’s vehicle.

According to Williamson, a UGA parking services employee asked Ealey to wait for police after the minor accident, but he left the scene before police arrived.

“They told the driver that he needed to stay and that police had been called,” Williamson said. “He left the scene.”
