A sold-out concert by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony at House of Blues in Cleveland came to an abrupt end Sunday night when 50 Cleveland police officers and Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s deputies descended on the venue and took a member of the Grammy-winning hip-hop group into custody.

Flesh-N-Bone, whose real name is Stanley Howse, was arrested, tour manager Josh Williams said shortly afterward.

A Third District police officer, who declined to give his name because he is not authorized to make public statements, said Howse had outstanding warrants and would spend the night in jail.

The officer said police from multiple districts were dispatched to the House of Blues because of the size of the crowd, estimated at 1,000-plus, and that nobody was hurt during the incident.

Several police officers went backstage after Bone Thugs-N-Harmony took the stage at 10:30 p.m.

Just before midnight, an emcee announced that police had shut down the show.

As fans made their way to the exits, some shouted: “[Expletive] the police!” Others chanted: “We want Bone!”

Outside the club, Euclid Avenue was lined with at least a dozen police cars, some with lights flashing. Police instructed concertgoers who lingered on the sidewalk to disperse.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony got its start in Cleveland in the 1990s, although most of the group’s members now live elsewhere.

Howse, 36, resides in Los Angles. This was believed to be his first visit to Cleveland in more than a decade.

Howse was sentenced to prison in 2000 in California for threatening a man with an AK-47 assault rifle. He was released in 2008.

Howse is the older brother of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Layzie Bone, whose real name is Steven Howse.
