The Family Unit is very important to children. It helps shape and mold them when creating their lists of goals and values. The stability that a family can have on a child is something that can make or break them.
Sometimes when a child didn’t have that family unit in real life they were able to borrow the black family they watched every week on television. Cliff Huxtable became the dad that some kids always dreamed to have growing up. We loved and cherished him each week and even when we’re watching re-runs now.
Although we still need more quality shows on television representing the black family unit, thank GOD we have a list of black families we can embrace now and forever.
