Cleveland trying to get guns off its streets.
That’s why 19 Action News teamed up with the city for a gun buyback Saturday.
“When you bring your gun down to trade it in you have to make sure it is empty and that’s in good working condition.”
The Cleveland Police Department is big on getting guns off the street. Cleveland’s police chief says fewer guns mean fewer injuries and deadly shootings.
“One of the primary goals of this particular program is to get those weapons off the streets so they don’t fall into the wrong hands,” Chief Michael Mcgrath.
