Casualty: Local Marine Dies In Combat

An Akron native has been killed in action in Afghanistan.
Corporal Derek Wyatt died during combat operations Monday. The Marine was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
The 25-year old died while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
