19 Action News wants to know why earlier complaints against Aaron Starr were not handled by the police Domestic Violence Unit.

Records show more than once Aaron Starr said he’d kill his wife but the case not sent to a Domestic Violence Unit because of where she lived.

Friday early morning’s shooting rampage followed death threats but it all happened on the far west side.

Apparenlty the Domestic Violence Unit only covers other sections, the Second, Third and Fourth police districts.

So what’s the difference? Reports show in August Aaron Starr told his wife he’d bought a gun and threatened her.

Then last month he said he’d kill her and a friend.
