On Friday, Browns head coach Eric Mangini said he expects to meet with team president Mike Holmgren on Monday to discuss his future with the team. For the past few weeks, there has been speculation about whether Mangini will coach the team for a third season.
“There is uncertainty with things, but the guys have responded exactly the way I asked them to, which is be consistent in preparation, at meetings, at practice,” the coach said.
This is the second straight year Mangini has endured the scrutiny. Holmgren decided to keep the coach after the Browns won the final four games of the season.
