After building a 24-point lead in the first half, the Pittsburgh Steelers held off a New York Jets rally in the fourth quarter for a 24-19 victory in the AFC championship game Sunday night.
Earlier, the Green Bay Packers went on the road and defeated the Chicago Bears 21-14 to win the NFC championship.
The Steelers and the Packers will meet in Super Bowl XLV on Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
On another note, Steelers coach, Mike Tomlin, already the youngest coach to win a Super Bowl, is also the first coach to make two Super Bowls before turning 40. He joins Joe Gibbs as men who advanced to two Super Bowls in their first four seasons as head coaches – Gibbs did it with the Washington Washington Football Team. Source
