Outrage over gas prices continues to increase, just like the dollar amount at the pump.

Prices are already sky high, up more than 20 cents a gallon this week with an average of $4.11 and with prices like that, 19 Action News wants to know if drivers are being cheated at the pump?

19 Action News looked over inspection reports for 250 gas stations in Cuyahoga County. Testers found most stations were accurate, but at some stations…more than half of their pumps were inaccurate.

At Dyna Gard in East Cleveland, 19 Action News was told to turn the cameras off. Last year, Cuyahoga County Inspectors found 18 of 24 pumps in accurate. There are usually 6 pumps at one car pull-up, with 3 gas selections on each side.  The workers at Dyna Gard said they had just started working there and had no answers.

The Marathon station located at I-480 and Warrensville Center Road showed 12 of 24 pumps inaccurate last year. 19 Action News has been told the gas station is now under new management. One of their customers said they would “go get gas somewhere else” after hearing the news and that “when there’s that many, there’s a problem.”
