The U.S. Marshals have Dennis Watson in custody.
The runaway dad was tracked to an apartment on Greenwich St., in Columbus, OH. Task Force Officers watched Watson leave an apartment and get into a vehicle driven by his father. When the vehicle sped off, it barely missed an officer, and several Task Force vehicles. They eventually stopped.
Watson was arrested and taken to the Franklin County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition back to Akron. His father was arrested as well.
Watson was wanted by the Akron Police Department for the April 2011 beating death of his baby girl.
12-week-old Avionna Helms died Wednesday at Akron City Hospital from blunt force trauma to the head.
