NEW YORK — After coughing up $1 million in bail money, the former head of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, gets to wait in the lap of luxury for a seven-count indictment on charges of attempted rape.
The first floor boasts a guest suite with bath and private entrance, a Boffi kitchen with Miele and Gaggenau appliances and a massive room with a skylight and fireplace.
One floor up are two bedrooms with custom closets, a limestone bath with a Duravit jet tub and waterfall shower and the landscaped terrace.
The master suite sits on the top floor with a wet bar, his-and-her walk-in closets and a second limestone bath.
On top of the monthly price tag, Kahn is paying $200,000 a month on a security detail.
The three-story, 6,800 square foot Tribeca palace is not a bad place to be stuck under house arrest. The Daily News is reporting that Kahn and his wife ordered over $200 worth of takeout steak and salad last night. Sounds nice…
