Geronimo Pratt, whose 1972 conviction became the source of civil rights discussions in the 1960’s, has passed away in his Tanzanian home. He was 63 years old. Pratt maintained his innocence in the 1968 murder/assault in a robbery that yielded $18, and his conviction was overturned in 1997. He is remembered as an incredible leader, and a martyr for racial equality.
