Late Thursday evening police took a 16 year old shooting suspect into custody. Cleveland Police arrested the boy at E. 40th and Longwood and turned him over to Metropolitan Housing Authority Police.
The arrest follows a double shooting on Case Court Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened on the city’s east side near E. 55th around 2:30 p.m.
According to cops, a group of kids got into a fight earlier in the day near a playground.
An angry participant from the fight went looking for other juveniles involved later on in the day and fired shots into a crowd of people.
Two people were shot, a 3-year-old and a 14-year-old. Both suffered non life-threatening injuries were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
