President Barack Obama “needs to fight, and fight harder,” Rep. Elijah Cummings told CNN on Sunday adding to the chorus of criticism from Black political leaders that claim the president  is ignoring African-Americans.

Black unemployment appears to be the biggest gripe Black leaders have with Obama. Representatives Maxine Waters and John Conyers, both prominent members of the Congressional Black Caucus, have voiced their disappointment in recent weeks.

“We want him to know from this day forward that we’ve had it. We want him to come out on our side not to watch and wait… We’re suffering,” Conyers said.
