CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

19 Action News has learned that CPD now think two church break-ins are connected and could be part of a church theft ring.

Investigators have recovered some of the stolen goods from Holy Name in Slavic Village and ALL of the stolen items from Trinity Cathedral in downtown Cleveland.

Cops say they located goods at two local pawn shops.

Sacred, valuable goods were taken from both churches. Some of the stolen items are  considered to be antiques dating back to the 1800’s. Most of the stolen items are still being used in communion services.

This week, police charged Eddie S. Davis with the break-in at Holy Name. Investigators now think he is connected to the Trinity burglary.

Cleveland Third and Fourth District Police have made other arrests for questioning as well.

Have a tip and want to cash it in? Call CrimeStoppers at 216.252.7463. There is a substantial reward still available.

Police are hoping reward money from CrimeStoppers will help recover the rest of the things stolen from Holy Name.
