The Parma School Board voted 3-to-2 Monday night for a reconfiguration plan.

Elementary schools will be K-4th grades, Middle Schools will be 5,6,7th grades and high school will be 8-12.

This means the district will keep its three high schools and three middle schools.

Currently they have 12 elementary schools and they will reduce those buildings by 4 schools or possibly 5.

The superintendent will give his recommendations to the school board, about which elementary’s they should close, by December 12th.

The Parma School District’s consolidation plan is expected to take effect in the 2012-2013 school year.
