Months of debate have come down to this….

In just over six hours polls across the state will open and you will decide on Issue 2, which could take away collective bargaining rights for state union employees.

Both sides are pulling out all the stops as the countdown to election day winds down and 19 Action News has found something we haven’t seen yet, both sides agreeing on something?

Berea teachers are using every last moment of daylight on election eve. They want to make sure those who are against Issue 2 show up to vote on Tuesday.

For them it’s a very emotional issue.

“You come into the classroom everyday, teach, and have kids asking are you going to be fired? Are you going to lose your job and you have to look at them and say I hope not.  It depends on how the vote goes,” said Steve Holecko.

But those supporting Issue 2 are trying to take the emotion out of it and stick to the facts.

“Teachers are just being brainwashed by the union and it seems like a lot of people who are against this bill are seemingly only union employees,” said Rob Frost.
