A Cuyahoga County elections worker, who made headlines when he allegedly tried to bite off the nose of a voter on election day, was arraigned on assault charges Saturday morning.

The worker, 53-year-old James Norman Williams, says he is “not guilty,” but the victim is now considering a lawsuit.

Williams, of Cleveland, is accused of head butting and then biting the nose of 49-year-old Greg Flanagan.

Flanagan is a voter who tried to intervene in an argument between Williams and a female campaign worker over the placement of a political sign outside a polling place at an Old Brooklyn church on Tuesday.
