A Cleveland church that provides for the homeless, poor and disabled was burglarized this week.  The crooks stole cash, musical equipment, electronics, a lawnmower and even took coffee from the kitchen.

Pastor Jeff Ortiz said he the break-in was discovered Tuesday when Victory Fellowship church members on W. 47th Street arrived for bible study and noticed a shattered window in the back of the church.

“It was like, ‘Oh my God…we’ve been robbed,” Ortiz said.

Not even a Jesus jar was scared.  Ortiz said $15, which was supposed to be used to help with church expenses, was snatched from the jar.

In addition, $17 was stolen from a can which collects money each month for an orphan in India.

“Apparently, man will rob God.  I would pray that they would bring the stuff back,” Ortiz said.
