A judge slaps a former political hotshot with 28 years behind bars for his role in the Cuyahoga Corruption scandal.

Jimmy Dimora received a stiffer sentence than the one handed to former Cuyahoga County Auditor, Frank Russo.

Russo stole more than Dimora.

Yet, Dimora is behind bars and Russo is out, with no prospect of going to prison any time soon.

Dimora’s home from now on will be the federal prison in Butner, North Carolina.

His attorneys asked that he be placed there because of its hospital unit and they say Dimora will need advanced medical care.

Many people are wondering how Dimora got such a long sentence and why isn’t Russo in jail?

It all gets back to who played ball with the feds.

Russo will get a break when he is sentenced because he turned on Dimora.

Dimora probably could have cut a way better deal if he turned on Russo.

As an old saying goes, ‘the first baby in the bath water comes out the cleanest’ and Russo was in first.

Dimora is in federal prison.

No parole, but he will be given 56 days credit every year if he behaves so that could shave about 4 years off his time.

When will Frank Russo go?  Not until at least next year.
