GEAUGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) –

A Monday morning hearing was held for admitted Chardon High School shooter TJ Lane.

The judge will take a potential November 12 trial date under advisement.

Lane admitted to the February 27 shooting, but offered no motive. 17-year-old Russell King, Jr., 16-year-old Daniel Parmertor and 16-year-old Demetrius Hewlin were killed. 17-year-old Nick Walczak remains paralyzed from the waist down. 18-year-old Joy Rickers and a 6th, unidentified victim were treated and released from the hospital.

The judge also granted more time for doctors to mentally evaluate Lane. His lawyers said in court that they are likely to file a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.

Lane’s next hearing is slated for September 30.
