CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
It’s a new era for Cleveland Browns football.
New team owner Jimmy Haslam introduced Joe Banner as the new CEO during a news conference on Wednesday morning.
Banner, a former Philadelphia Eagles executive, will take over on October 25.
The new Browns CEO said the entire franchise will be evaluated, and that it will be an ongoing process.
Banner cited a built-in advantage of a passionate fan base.
Banner added that the Browns should win “fairly quickly” but offered no time table. Haslam backed that claim up, and said there is no excuse why the Browns should not be one of NFL’s top franchises.
