(WOIO) –

The University of Phoenix plans to shut down 115 locations across the nation, including two in Northeast Ohio.

The Westlake satellite office, which currently only has about 24 students, will stop enrolling students immediately. The Independence branch will also stop enrolling students immediately.

The Beachwood location, however, will remain open. The Beachwood branch is the largest in the Cleveland-area, and currently enrolls about 300 students.

The University hopes to use the facilities earmarked for closure until all students are finished with their degrees, but if forced to move, they plan on renting a temporary facility nearby.
