A man claiming to be an investigator is calling residents telling them they could be in trouble with the county sheriff’s office. The scammer then requests Social Security number, name and other personal information.

According to the Sheriff, this is a scam and says residents should never give personal information or social security number over the phone.

Anyone with further questions is urged to call Lt. Hiscox at 440-279-2059 or Dispatch at 440-286-1234.
