CHARDON, Ohio – The families of Chardon High School shooting victims have filed a lawsuit against student gunman T.J. Lane.

The lawsuit was filed in Lake County Court of Common Pleas on Feb. 27, 2013, exactly one year after the tragedy.

On Tuesday, Lane pleaded guilty to three aggravated murder charges in Geauga County and told the judge he understands he may spend the rest of his life in prison. Sentencing is set for March.

This day one year ago, Lane opened fire in the Chardon High School cafeteria, killing Demetrius Hewlin, Russell King Jr. and Daniel Parmertor.

The Parmertors, Kings and Hewlins are all represented by attorney Peter Marmaros. They’re suing Lane, his mother, father, grandmother and grandfather, according to the court document.
