It’s a long-way from the snow-covered hills and old-fashioned ways of Amish country to the earthquake heartbreak of Haiti, where so many victims need someplace to live.

Dozens of Haitian families should soon be getting four walls around them and a roof over their heads.

It’s thanks to the “Homes for Haiti” project started by the Berlin, Ohio home base of a mission in Haiti.

“It makes you think and shows you can’t choose where you are born,” said Steve Miller, board chairman of Haitian Relief and Missions, which has a school and medical facilities in Haiti.
