Chris Rock is joining the cast of “The Real Husbands of Hollywood,” replacing Robin Thicke for the second season of BET’s acclaimed reality show parody. HipHollywood exclusively reported the news.
The show, which stars and is produced by comedian Kevin Hart, has been a ratings and critical hit for BET ever since debuting in January. Alongside Hart, the regular cast of the show includes J.B. Smoove, Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe and Duane Martin as comedic counterparts to the successful “Real Housewives” franchises. Anthony Anderson will also be joining the cast of the show this season.
“I just watched the show and it just seemed like they were having so much fun. I said, ‘I want to have fun,’” Rock said. He recently shared a stage with Hart at the now-infamous Comedy Cellar show in February, in which Rock, Hart, Dave Chappelle, Bill Bellamy and Marlon Wayans unexpectedly performed a set that sparked rumors of a Rock/Chappelle stand-up tour.
