CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Two buildings at NASA Glenn Research Center have been evacuated due to a suspicious white powder.

The buildings are an office building and a briefing center. The situation began at 11 a.m. and was still ongoing as of 1:45 p.m.

A NASA Glenn official tells 19 Action News a total of eight employees have come into contact with the unknown white powder.

They have been isolated while they are being evaluated.

The powder was found when one employee was cleaning out a drawer.

Multiple fire departments are on scene.
