Channel 2 Action has learned the good Samaritan paralyzed when he saved the life of a 4-year-old girl, Mike Patterson, is getting some help from an Atlanta media mogul.
A representative for Atlanta’s Tyler Perry told Channel 2′s Diana Davis that Perry has donated $50,000 to the Michael Patterson fund.
Patterson was paralyzed more than a week ago when he broke his neck diving into a creek to rescue 4-year-old Javea Jones.
Patterson’s condition worsened over the weekend when he developed a high fever and infection.
His Facebook page said that fever is now under control.
