Preachers are held to a higher standard. That’s no question, but not all of them stay away from Rated-R movies and entertainment. Last weekend, Pastor Marvin Sapp revealed via social cam that he didn’t want to be “judged” for heading to the movies to see Kevin Hart.
Should he not be allowed to take in a bit of naughty humor without cricticism?
“It’s Friday night and I’m actually in town and have nothing to do. Teenagers, children, they have lives of their own on Friday night so they are hanging with some of their friends,” the single dad said, walking and filming himself. “I was at the house just by myself. I just finished studying for my message on Sunday.”
To decompress and unwind after preparing his sermon, the preacher and multi-platinum-selling recording artist said, “I decided to come out and go to the movies by myself. Somebody wanna know what I’m going to see. I can’t tell you, ‘cause I don’t want you to judge me.”
