Major League Baseball has suspended Alex Rodriguez, also known as “A. Rod”, from the New York Yankees through 2014 for drug use! In addition, 13 other players were banned 50 games apiece in a drug case. There hasn’t been a punishment of this sort in nearly a century.
Rodriguez is a three-time Most Valuable Player and baseball’s highest-paid star. His suspension covers 211 games, starting Thursday, and he is expected to appeal.
