CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Cleveland Councilman Zack Reed has been found guilty of driving while intoxicated.

The jury of four men and four women did not look at Reed as he entered the courtroom. Upon hearing the verdict, Reed and his defense team looked somber. The jury deliberated for around 6 hours before reaching a decision.

Reed remains free on bond, and will be sentenced on September 5 and 10 a.m.

Reed was arrested on March 5 at the intersection of East 9th and Rockwell Avenue after he failed to stop at a red light and made an improper turn. He refused to take a breath test.

This was Reed’s third OVI arrest.
