In an effort to clean up the community, Judge William L. Dawson of East Cleveland Municipal Court has started the “Adopt a Block” program in his city.
The program was launched Sept. 1 during the Shaw High School All-Class Reunion picnic at Forest Hills Park.
According to a press release from Judge Dawson, the program was started to spark community involvement in cleaning up East Cleveland and at the same time, stopping crime and illegal activity that comes with unkept areas.
Volunteers interested in adopting a block or park in East Cleveland should contract the Judge Dawson at East Cleveland Municipal court.
