Hundreds of people headed into the waters of Lake Erie Saturday in search for spiritual renewal.
The Word Church held a mass baptism at Edgewater Park to give community members a chance to do something positive after facing a year of violence.
It has been a little over a decade since the Word Church held a similar ceremony in Lake Erie. The event was also open to those beyond the congregation as well.
