The 41-year-old New Jersey Transit bus operator who was caught masturbating on the job on June 24 had no words at his arraignment on Wednesday; instead, he let his lawyer speak for him, reports theGrio.com.

“We don’t have any comment,” said Frank Arleo, defense attorney for George Simpson, Jr. “We are waiting to get discovery from the prosecutor and then we will begin talking to them.”
A passenger on the bus, a librarian who captured Simpson in the act and recorded the entire thing on her cell phone, plans to file a lawsuit against the New Jersey Transit Authority.
“She is deeply disturbed,” said her attorney Patrick Metz.
New Jersey Transit spokesman John Durso Jr. released a statement concerning the incident in July:
“The bus operator in question was immediately removed from service without pay as a result of this disturbing and grossly irresponsible conduct. We offer our sincere apologies to anyone who may have witnessed this disturbing episode.”
Simpson is charged with “lewdness, risking widespread injury and reckless driving.”
