Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed will square off with newcomer Marcus Henley in the November general election.

Reed and Henley, running for Cleveland City Council in Ward 2, were the top two vote getters in Tuesday’s primary election, according to the unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Reed had 904 votes and Henley had 85.

The other two candidates, Rodney White had 72 votes and Stan Owens had 22.

Reed said he was hopeful he would get the confidence of the voters in his ward, despite his recent OVI conviction.
