The city’s much-discussed plan to make West Shoreway a low-speed boulevard with landscaped medians will soon become a reality.

Money has been the big issue for Phase two.

On Tuesday, Governor John Kasich and Mayor Frank Jackson will announce funding to make it happen. They are scheduled to meet at Upper Edgewater Park in Cleveland at 12:30 p.m.

About $50 million is needed to complete it.

Phase One included pedestrian tunnels connecting to the Lakefront.
