CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

The Indians wouldn’t need another dramatic, walk-off win on Wednesday night, but their 7-2 victory was just as important as Tuesday’s spectacular rally, as it kept the Tribe in the second Wild Card spot, with four games to go in the regular season.

Nick Swisher’s two-run home run in the 5th was the big blow for the Tribe, but Drew Stubbs, Michael Brantley and Asdrubal Cabrera also drove in runs.

Danny Salazar and the bullpen did the rest, as Salazar went five-and-one-third innings, striking out eight and giving up only two runs.

Bryan Shaw, Rich Hill, Cody Allen, Matt Albers and Justin Masterson took it from there, shutting down the White Sox, as the Indians take 17 of 19 from their Chicago rivals this season.

The Tribe now heads to Minnesota for the final four games, with a possible Wild Card game on deck next week.
