Actor Craig Robinson (pictured) was arrested in the Bahamas on Wednesday for trying to board a plane with half a gram of marijuana and 18 ecstasy pills, TMZ reports.

Officials reportedly found the drugs in Robinson’s luggage at Lynden Pindling International Airport. The “This Is the End” star, who was in the country for a comedy show, appeared before a magistrate the same day, pleading guilty to two counts of drug possession.

Though he faced at least four years in prison for the drugs, the magistrate offered Robinson either a six-month prison sentence or a $1,000 fine. Robinson opted to pay the fine and was ordered to leave the country immediately afterward.

At his hearing, the comedian told the judge he’d purchased the drugs in the United States, but was unaware they were illegal in the Bahamas.

A police officer at the hearing dismissed the charges as “nothing major.”

This isn’t the first time drugs have gotten Robinson in to trouble. He was arrested in June 2008 in California for possessing methamphetamine and MDMA during a routine traffic stop. He also received a charge for being under the influence of cocaine, but that was later dropped along with the methamphetamine charges; only the ecstasy charge stuck.

At the time, he was already on probation for a DUI from 2006, MTV News reported. However, he struck a deal with prosecutors to undergo an 18-month drug rehabilitation program in lieu of a prison sentence.
