‘We mourn and grieve but heaven had the baddest welcoming party for my son’ – NFL Star, Adrian Peterson on the death of his 2-year-old son

Adrian Peterson, the Christian Minnesota Vikings running back, may have lost his two-year-old son recently, but the athlete is revealing his faith that God can even bring about good from the darkest tragedies.

Peterson, 28, recently learned that his son was allegedly beaten to death by the boyfriend of the young boy’s mother. However, he revealed he decided to play in Sunday’s NFL game against the Carolina Panthers just days following the heartbreaking news, as he believed “God wanted good to come from” his son’s death.

“My brother passed the night before the combine and I decided to go through with it. The same reason why I will play this week. You may ask why? God wants good to come from it,” Peterson told FOX Sports before his game. “We mourn and grieve but heaven had the baddest welcoming party for my son. That knowledge gives me peace.”

Peterson insisted that the peace God gave him meant he felt enabled him to push forward in Sunday’s game.
