The Browns were up 7-3 over the Ravens after one quarter of play at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The Browns scored their touchdown after a couple of great catches by Greg Little and Josh Gordon to set up a 4th-and-1 at the 1-yard line. Jason Campbell then hit Davone Bess on a 1-yard TD pass to give the Browns a 7-0 lead.
Baltimore followed that drive with a drive of their own that led to a 51-yard field goal by Justin Tucker. Campbell was injured late in the first quarter after a Haloti Ngata late hit. He left the field with a rib injury.
One defensive lapse by the Browns allowed the Ravens to cut the Cleveland lead from 14-3 to 14-10 in the 2nd quarter.
Joe Haden and Chris Owens got mixed up on a pass play, which allowed Torrey Smith to catch a 47-yard pass from Joe Flacco in Browns territory.
Flacco then found Marlon Brown for a Ravens TD, which cut the Browns lead to 14-10. Cleveland scored its second touchdown of the game when Jason Campbell hit Davone Bess, who made a quick move, sending the defender to the ground. It was Bess’ first multiple TD game of his career.
