Homeless children from Cleveland’s Salvation Army shelter got to take a snapshot into their dreams.

It’s the brainchild of famed celebrity photographer Linda Solomon. She started “Pictures of Hope.” It’s a program where children in shelters are given cameras and asked to capture their dreams in their everyday life.

“This is a life-changing day,” she said inside Serpentini Chevrolet, where the event was held. They are a sponsor, which allows 100 percent of the proceeds collected to go back to the shelter. The pictures taken by the children were turned into holiday cards available for the public to buy. “When you ask children that live in shelters what they are hoping for, you never get an iPod or iPad.”
