BRATENAHL, Ohio – Police need help finding a man accused of dragging a woman behind his truck then beating her and running her over before leaving the scene in the Village of Bratenahl.

After a two-vehicle wreck on the Eddy Road overpass above I-90 around 7 p.m. Sunday, police say both drivers, a man and a woman, got out of their respective vehicles and argued with each other.

The male driver tried to drive away from the scene in his pick-up truck when the woman somehow got tangled. He kept driving, dragging the woman, now identified as Gwendolyn Young, a couple hundred feet.

That’s when police say the man got out of his truck at the entrance ramp to I-90 eastbound and began punching Young.

After he beat her, police say he got back into his truck and drove over the her body, leaving the scene.

Police tell NewsChannel5′s Terrence Lee that they have several witnesses, including Young’s mother, who was in the passenger’s seat watching the entire event unfold.

Young was transported to Metro Health Medical Center and was listed in critical condition Monday afternoon.
