There is an epic battle washing ashore over Darren Aronofsky’s $125-million depiction of Noah and the great

flood, which stars Russell Crowe.

When a Faith Driven Consumers survey was released concluding that 98 percent of religious moviegoers are

displeased with faith-based films, including Noah, Paramount Pictures hit back.

Using Nielsen and Barna research indicating a high favorability toward the upcoming biblical epic, the movie

house is doing its level best to drown out negative voices that could cut into its potential profits.

“On our survey conducted over February 13th through February 15th, we found the majority of Pastors would

recommend that people see the film ‘Noah,’” Barna Group president David Kinnaman said–a quote Paramount

uses in its press release rebuttal.
