Ward’s signing with a new team one of the first to take place in the NFL shortly after free agency opened up on March 11, 2014.
DENVER – Free agent defensive back T.J. Ward signed with the Denver Broncos during the opening hours of free agency.
The acquisition was confirmed on Twitter by VP and GM of Football Operations John Elway.
“Excited to announce we’ve agreed to terms with strong safety T.J. Ward. He’ll bring energy and toughness to our secondary,” Elway tweeted.
Ward, 27, was drafted in 2010 by the Cleveland Browns. He has played in 54 career games.
