LOCAL NEWS: East Tech Basketball Teams Score Big Honor
They may have come up short in their quests for a state championship, but athletes at East Tech enjoyed a big honor Monday night.
The boys and girls basketball teams were recognized by Cleveland City Council.
The boys advanced to the Division 1 Final Four basketball tournament for the first time in 42 years; while the girls’ team won the Cleveland City Championship.
The teams were honored with ‘Scrolls of Congratulations’ from council.
