It has been nearly a year since Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight escaped years of captivity in Ariel Castro’s home.
The story, which quickly gripped the world’s attention, will soon be turned into a television movie.
According to the New York Daily News, the film, which will air on Lifetime, will star Kate Mara of “House of Cards” fame as Michelle Knight.
Who would portray Ariel Castro? The report says David Costabile or Emilio Estevez are being considered for the role.
It’s unclear when production on the movie will begin.
