LORAIN COUNTY, OH (WOIO) –
The Avon Local School District has been informed by the Lorain County General Health District that there is a fourth confirmed case of Whooping Cough (Pertussis).
News of the four cases was troubling to Jennifer Able of Lagrange.
“Kind of scary,” says Able.
She remembers her cousin having it more than once years ago.
“She was separated from us quite often,” adds Able.
A clinic will be held Wednesday, May 7 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the health department. The address is 9880 S. Murray Ridge Road in Elyria and the phone number is 440-322-6367.
